What You Need to Know about Private Security Agency Regulation Act?



Private Security Agencies provide security services like security guard training. The private security agencies and their operation are managed under Private Security Agencies Regulation Act, 2005 (PSARA). Private security services are on huge demand these days because of increasing concerns over security. The concerned state government also formulates the rules and also regulates their affairs. A private security agency should obtain PSARA license for Uttrakhand to conduct a business or assign security guards.

Eligibility to Obtain PSARA License
An Indian firm, company, and association of persons are eligible to obtain PSARA license for Maharashtra. In addition, most of the shareholders should be Indian if agency is a company. Here are the conditions which should be met –
·         The company or person cannot be convicted of offense in relation to the promotion, management, or formation of company.
·         The company or person shouldn’t be convicted of offence for which the specific punishment is imprisonment under 2 years.
·         Person cannot be expelled or dismissed from government service on moral turpitude or misconduct
·         Company or person shouldn’t keep any links with association or organization which is banned under any law of their activities which pose threat to public order or national security.
·         The person cannot be expelled or dismissed from government service on grounds of moral turpitude or misconduct.

Registration
All private security agencies should get PSARA license for rajasthan before starting operation. Initially, the parties should decide on the model of business. This decision must be made on different factors like finance, scale, control, liabilities, etc. You can sign an application for license for a district to five districts or a state. The application fee and process vary according to license area. Here are some of the common models –
·         LLP
·         Partnership Firm
·         Sole Proprietorship
·         NGO
·         Private Limited Company

Parties can proceed for license after deciding their model.
